The Long Dog Retreat was created from a genuine love of dachshunds and everything that makes them so wonderfully themselves. As dachshund owners, we know they’re not quite like other dogs. They’re affectionate, stubborn, clever, hilarious and, occasionally, completely convinced the rules don’t apply to them.

We embrace all of it.

Our approach is centred around getting to know each dachshund and creating a calm, welcoming environment shaped around their individual personality, needs and routine.

By intentionally keeping guest numbers small, we’re able to offer plenty of attention, companionship and comfort throughout their stay. Whether joining us for daycare or overnight, every guest has the space and time to settle into their own rhythm.
